With under 50% possession, QPR inflicted 26 shots on Hull with an xG of 3.5
QPR ended a four-match winless run with a frantic 3-2 victory over play-off chasing Hull City.
Rangers dominated throughout the match at Loftus Road, but twice had to come from behind before Rumarn Burrell swept in the decisive goal midway through the second half.
Joe Gelhardt and Enis Destan struck for Hull, while Ilias Chair and captain Jimmy Dunne hauled Rangers level on each occasion.
The Londoners survived late pressure to move from 18th to 15th in the table on 22 points while Hull remain sixth despite suffering their fifth loss of the season.
Although sitting in the bottom half of the table, Rangers' Dunne was optimistic before the November international break, believing there was still a reason to be "looking up" to the play-off places in an "open" Championship.
There was good reason for the Republic of Ireland international to have that view with only six points separating them and Hull before kick-off.
His side well and truly backed his view up by keeping Hull's Ivan Pandur busy with 26 shots during the game, although only eight were on target.
The Tigers were second best in the opening minutes, yet Leeds loanee Gelhardt punished slack defending to drill in the opener against the run of play.
Rangers, though, were rewarded when talisman Chair reacted quickest in a messy box scramble to equalise before half-time.
They were not on level terms for long as the excellent Ryan Giles send over a pinpoint cross, which was powered home by Destan in the 51st minute.
Dunne looped in QPR's second leveller after more hesitant Hull defending just four minutes later, and the turnaround was complete when left winger Burrell notched his fifth goal of the season from close range.
Rangers could have added more, with Croatian keeper Pandur making several key saves to keep Hull alive, while the visitors went close late on through the lively Gelhardt and substitute David Akintola but could not find a third to salvage a point.
QPR head coach Julien Stephan told BBC Radio London:
"Of course the win is very important, but for me the performance is also very important because it means a lot to win a game like this with that level of play.
"I think offensively it was our best performance since the start of the season. Very good movement, a great number of opportunities — 26 shots, 3.5 xG, so it's a lot without a penalty and credit to the players; they deserve this win.
"Another reason I enjoyed this game was the mental reaction after we conceded the first and second goals, because they shot only once in the first half and scored.
"But we stayed focused, the players stuck to the plan, and continued to play how we wanted."
Hull City defender Ryan Giles told BBC Radio Humberside:
"Obviously I'm really disappointed. I felt like we started really well but at times it can be a theme where we go in front and then concede a sloppy goal, and that was the case today.
"There are things leading up to it — it's not just the back four. Chas [Charlie Hughes] is putting his body on the line to try and stop it, and they get a lucky deflection that goes in.
"We've got to look back and see how we can stop the opposition having so many opportunities at our goal."
