Wolves boss Gary O'Neil, speaking to MOTD: "I think a fantastic performance and effort from the group who have had a tough week. We lost two starting centre-backs. One to a whole season and one to illness. Toti is back a week early with his hamstring and gets through the whole game. The lads gave everything and showed quality.
"They went toe-to-toe with one of the biggest clubs in the country. I am gutted for the lads with what they have given in the last six game they deserve more points for what they have given.
"Disappointing thing for me is one minute of losing control emotionally after we equalise and go chasing things took us away from the game-plan. That's the way it is going at the minute.
"Maybe at the end of the game we could be better with our decision-making. We are fighting some big clubs at the moment with one hand tied behind our back with some injuries - everybody knows the problems we have had at the club recently.
"There will always be individual errors in the game - Liverpool will have had loads. So it is always a collective.
"The responsibility of the result I accept that, but I also need to praise the lads for delivering performances against opposition like this.
"I know them well enough that they will feel disappointed for a day then they will be ready to go again."
On board having belief in him: "I can't control other people's belief in me. All I can do is the best I can do."

Everton's Premier League game against Crystal Palace on Saturday provided an insight into why football is so often called a game of two halves.
Behind at half-time to Marc Guehi's opener following a poor showing from their side, Everton supporters jeered their side off the pitch.
By full-time, they were dancing in the stands, not only with the result but in the knowledge that an impending takeover of the club can provide hope both on and off the pitch.
Dwight McNeil's second-half double did not just salvage Everton's first victory of the season but changed the whole mood around Goodison Park.
“[At half-time] we tried to correct a few things," said manager Sean Dyche. "We told them it's a team game, everyone has to make a difference and not wait for someone else.
"We played a bit cagey, which is understandable in a nervy stadium, to get that first win and we handled that second half really well. Two great moments from Dwight, and that we managed the game well, which has come into question [in the past].
"I was very pleased with the mentality to see the game through, manage it well and we kept them down minimal clear-cut chances."

It took Pep Guardiola about 20 seconds to signal that he was bored with talking about Manchester City's absent midfielder Rodri.
He took his seat in the media conference room at St James' Park less than half an hour after his side's 1-1 draw with Newcastle.
The first question? Does that game show how pivotal Rodri is to your team?
Guardiola drew breath and replied: "We played really good with Kova [Mateo Kovacic], Bernardo [Silva] and Rico [Lewis].”
Four of the seven questions posed to Guardiola centred around Rodri in some form.
And that was after a similar line of questioning immediately after the televised early kick-off on Saturday, with Guardiola telling BBC Match of the Day that his midfield were "magnificent".
Eventually, Guardiola directly addressed the issue at hand.
"I know you are going to ask me all the time," he said. "We are going to miss Rodri for his physicality and presence. But he is not there.
"I would love Rodri, Oscar Bobb, Kevin [de Bruyne] and [Nathan] Ake to be here. But it is what it is. Sometimes it happens and we have to adapt."

For an attacking player, being compared to legendary Premier League forwards Dennis Bergkamp and Robin van Persie is not a bad thing at all.
Chelsea forward Cole Palmer was likened to both after his history-making performance in Saturday's 4-2 win against Brighton at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old got all four goals, scoring them in the first half of the game - the first time that has ever been done in the Premier League.
He also had one goal disallowed and hit the woodwork as Brighton struggled to deal with him.
"He has got a bit of finesse, Bergkamp, Van Persie about him, and they weren't bad at all," former England and Arsenal forward Theo Walcott said after the game, adding that he had been "speechless" while witnessing Palmer's performance.
"He has grown into his own at Chelsea and he is the main man. You can't leave him out of any team, and I am talking about England too."

Liverpool boss Arne Slot told MOTD: "Feels good [to be top], you want to be up there but it doesn’t tell me that much at the moment. If you look at Wolves they are down in the table but they played much better than that today.
"After 19 games, it’ll tell me something but not after six."

Rampant Celtic warmed up for their Champions League trip to Borussia Dortmund with a ninth straight win in all competitions against St Johnstone.
The defending Scottish Premiership champions thought they had led through Daizen Maeda's first-half volley but VAR intervened over a foul.
However, Kyogo Furuhashi put the visitors in front with a typical run and finish and Paulo Bernardo completed an excellent move with a fine finish.
Kyogo headed a third in first-half added time and Callum McGregor, Maeda and substitute Adam Idah added more goals in the second period.
Brendan Rodgers' side lead Aberdeen on goal difference at the top of the table while Saints are a point above second bottom.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, speaking to Sky Sports: "I don't think we started well, but we have to give credit to Wolves and Gary O'Neil.
"They had a real good game-plan. We had some problems in the first 20 minutes, but afterwards we took control of the game.
"They overloaded our right side a lot with many players.
"Normally we try to press with Salah a bit more forward, but sometimes it is not about tactics, it is about how aggressive you press.
"How strong you are in the duels and in the second half we come out better - the energy and intensity was much higher.
"Sometimes we feel we have to be more patient against a low block team, I am not saying Wolves were that.
"We were patient and kept circulating the ball and kept waiting for the right moment to bring the ball in."
On Konate thinking he should be the player of the match: "Konate? Then maybe he forgot the moment we conceded a goal.
"That was the reason we conceded as he wasn't there and it was avoidable."
On being title contenders: "I always try to be be realistic and Jurgen's work has been incredible everybody knows this.
"Two years ago was the last time they played in the Champions League and they finished fifth.
"Now we have to prove that we can compete in the Champions League and the Premier League."

"Tough to take which nobody wants, but if we keep pushing and scrapping and giving everything like we are we are going to cause some teams problems this year.

It was a big effort and a lot of positives against a top side. Disappointed we went off-plan for a second and opened the game up and got punished. Apart from that, I thought the lads were excellent. There were some decisions we made that were not ideal and not patient enough.
"In terms of a group giving everything and fighting one of the biggest clubs in world football, big performance.
"I have seen a lot in the first six games that I am confident. We have Brentford away who are really tough. But we are fighting against some of the big hitters at this moment and lost two centre-backs this week. We are fighting, we are scrapping and giving absolutely everything."

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch spoke to MOTD: "We knew this was always going to be difficult for us. I think after 20 or 25 minutes we did really well and we got the three points so I’m really happy with that.
"We gave the equaliser away because of miscommunication. This can happen in football but it won't happen again.
"We always try to push and we had a lot of chances. Maybe in the last phase of the game we could have scored one more but at the end of the day we still won."

Wolves have lost more Premier League games against Liverpool than they have vs any other opponent (16). They’ve lost 14 of their last 15 against the Reds in the league, with the exception being a 3-0 home win in February 2023.
Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in 65% of their Premier League games against Wolves (13/20), the second-highest rate of any side to have faced another 20+ times in the competition, after Chelsea against Middlesbrough (67% - 20/30).
Wolves remain without a league win so far this season (D1 L4) – only in 2003-04 (first seven) and 2019-20 (first six) have they gone longer without victory from the start of a Premier League campaign.
