Harry Kane celebrates scoring
Harry Kane continued his scoring streak against RB Leipzig to fire Bayern Munich into the German Cup semi-finals for the first time in six years.
Kane converted a penalty for his sixth goal in four cup games to take his Bayern tally to 39 in 34 matches, making him the leading marksman in Europe's top five leagues, before former Liverpool winger Luis Diaz scored their second.
The England captain's spot-kick took his tally this season against Leipzig to five, including a hat-trick.
Bayern were made to work hard by Leipzig at the Allianz Arena and the visitors thought they had scored after four minutes when Christoph Baumgartner fired home, only for his goal to be disallowed by the video assistant referee (VAR) for offside.
Bayern went close when Leipzig's Castello Lukeba cleared a Kane shot off the line after Maarten Vandevoordt saved and Ridle Baku headed away Joshua Kimmich's corner.
The Bundesliga champions and leaders kept pressing and Vandevoordt denied Aleksandar Pavlovic, Kane and then Serge Gnabry.
Bayern made the breakthrough on 64 minutes when Vandevoordt brought down Josip Stanisic for the penalty, and Diaz added the second four minutes later with his 19th goal of the season when he beat Willi Orban to convert Michael Olise's pass.
