Montrose picked up their first league win of the season to move off the foot of the SWPL table.

Their 3-0 victory away to Spartans means they're now three points clear of basement side Aberdeen. The Edinburgh side are seventh on goal difference.

Hannah Stewart scored their opening goal from the corner to give the visitors the lead at half time.

Early in the second half Montrose then doubled their advantage after a great strike from Demi Taylor.

Jade McLaren came on as a substitute on 75 minutes and seven later she sealed their long-awaited win with a header.
