Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has averaged eight points a game since Ruben Amorim left Old Trafford and now playing back in his natural number 10 position, he's become a must have FPL asset once again.

Attacking returns feel as likely as ever and with penalties, free kicks, corners, a 90-minute guarantee and a good chance of defensive contribution, he has more routes to points than virtually any other player in the game.

Manchester City's Haaland has one league goal in seven and it's time for those that haven't already done so to start considering alternative choices.

Burnley

Burnley manager Scott Parker on opponents West Ham, who are five points above them but also in the Premier League relegation places: “They have had a big improvement over the last three or four weeks. They have brought some players in and I think you can see a pick-up in their results.

"It’s probably a different side to the one we faced at the start of the season and it’s going to be a tough game.”

Burnley

Last but not least, we head off to Burnley and some team news from manager Scott Parker: “No real fresh injuries really. The longer-term boys are still the longer-term boys. James [Ward-Prowse] [loan player] can’t play this weekend due to playing against West Ham [his parent club] but everyone else is pretty good.”

Brentford

Some more team news to bring you, this time at Brentford, who travel to Newcastle for Saturday's late kick-off.

Manager Keith Andrews has confirmed that January signing Kaye Furo will be available for selection, while Reiss Nelson is back in contention after missing the victory at Aston Villa with a knock.

Kevin Schade will miss the match through suspension following his straight red card against Villa.

Andrews said: “We’re disappointed not to have Kevin. We’ll miss him for the next two league games and the cup game against Macclesfield.

“Everyone else has come through a difficult game, for obvious reasons, having gone down to 10 men so early. It’s testament to the place we’re in - physically as a team. We’re pretty much as we were."

Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva is getting closer to having a fully-fit squad available and spoke about the benefits of increased competition for places:

"The environment is good. The feelings are very good. You can feel it during the week, how competitive it will be in the future.

"That competition, the sound, everything is different. That is nice to see with all of them around and all of them competing for the position.

"Of course, there is going to be tougher, more competitive sessions, things that you can work in many different ways as well. It is a very good feeling for me, for my staff and even the players they feel it, that is going to be good.

"If you have normal solutions, you can start the game the way you want to start and to make changes if we have to throughout the game. It is always very good if you look around yourself and you see solutions there to have an impact."

Kenny Tete is in contention to start against Everton and new signing Oscar Bobb is available, but Sasa Lukic is out.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery on rebuilding the centre of his midfield: "We have three players in the middle like [Boubacar] Kamara, Youri [Tielemans] and [John] McGinn out. We have a key structure in place with those players. Now, with Amadou Onana [returning] he was not 100% last week. Lamare Bogarde is doing his task and helping us a lot, but he needs to continue to get better.

"Ross Barkley coming back is very, very important. He knows us and he has the skill needed to play as a number 8 or 10.

"In two months we have changed a lot in the middle. We must build again a strong structure in that key position. We have enough players and we must do it. And we need everybody's help to get it."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery on using a clear midweek to get returning players and new signings up to speed: "I prefer to play a lot matches, but when we can have some weeks free to work or to recover some players after they have been injured, the circumstance makes sense if we want some space to work and be free for matches.

"We are trying to set our new players. Of course, with Leon Bailey and Douglas Luiz [who are returning to the club] it's easier but they need again to adapt quick in the demands we have.

"Tammy Abraham, he needs to adapt again quick here about how we are setting our standards.

"Alysson, too, is coming back progressively."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery on whether Ollie Watkins will be fit to play: "Yes, he rested last week because he had a small injury and he was not ready to play, but this week progressively he was joining us, training normally and today he trained normally."

Watkins pulled up with a hamstring injury in the first half of Villa's Europa League victory over RB Salzburg on 29 January and missed last weekend's Premier League defeat at home to Brentfiord.

Crystal Palace

Finally, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner gave an update on his squad's fitness:

"Daichi Kamada is back and trained the full week – he will be available for the Brighton game – and really, it feels like a new team, with three new players coming in, and now it's really to start."

"Borna Sosa is back, as I mentioned Daichi is back [both from injury], and Adam Wharton is back [from a one-match suspension after his red card against Chelsea].

“Justin Devenny is close – maybe Sunday’s too early, but the Burnley game on Wednesday, he should be fine.

“The only ones are Cheick Doucouré – there’s still a long way to go for him – and Eddie Nketiah is not ready, but all others are back and available.”

And on the availability of his new signings: “We have Evann Guessand in, first week of training with us, Brennan [Johnson] arrived a few weeks ago – now, for us, it's pressing the reset button."

Glasner also confirmed that Jean-Philippe Mateta will not feature against Brighton or Burnley after his potential move to AC Milan collapsed on deadline day.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner onnew signing Jorgen Strand Larsen:

"He has a similar profile to JP. We wanted a tall and physical number number nine and Jorgen has a great mentality and a great character.

"He has shown it this week in training that he has this feeling inside the box.

"We trust in him. We’re always looking at the profiles and the character of the player, and Jorgen shows both – that’s why we had a huge effort to get him into the building. He's shown it this week in training.

"He’s hungry to score goals, and of course he needs to get the ball in the right areas, but he has this feeling where to move in the box – he’s scored a few nice goals."

Crystal Palace

More from Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner onJean-Phillipe Mateta after his move to AC Milan fell through:

"First of all we have to manage his knee. The most important thing is always the players' welfare.

"We took a higher risk, that's why he could play in most games but we rested him for some games and some training sessions.

"To be honest it was not a big surprise to everyone that he could fail [the medical]. We knew that this can happen and he knew it.

"We knew and he knew there was an issue. He was not really pleased.

"We had different opinions from different doctors. We will now do more assesments, see another doctor on Monday, then all sit together and make a final decision.

"There are two ways we can do this - manage the knee like we have until after the World Cup, which is JP's dream to play in. Everybody has to say there's no risks.

"The other one is he undergoes surgery. We don't know how long he would be out, there are a few predictions. Could be two months, three months, six to nine months. There are many opinions but it is about doing the right thing and we will decide next week."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner on theEagles' deadline day business of signing Jorgen Strand Larsen, while deals to sell Jean-Phillipe Mateta to AC Milan and sign Dwight McNeil from Everton collapsed:

"I've learned to accept situations. My wish of course, and everyone at the club, would have been that JP gets what he wants and we get Jorgen and Dwight McNeil into the building and Marc Guehi's replacement into the building.

"This is what everybody was woring on until the final seconds. At the end of it the club tried everything with huge offers and huge bids for a Marc Guehi replacement but clubs said they don't sell on deadline day.

"With JP it was a little bit earlier. Credit to the club that they without getting any money for JP spent a big fee on Strand Larsen. On the other side, McNeil was the last one we thought we could finalise but in the last minutes the terms of the deal changed again and the deal failed. I expected him and planned for him in the next day's training."

Arsenal

Finally, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on former Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka, who is now at Sunderland: "The fact that he came back, it was always a possibility.

"He had spent a lot of time away from family, and it was a critical part of the decision when he left us. I am so happy to see what he is doing."

Xhaka, however, is injured for Saturday's trip to the Emirates.

Arsenal

More from Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on whether this is the best group he has worked with at the club: "I cannot compare. It's an amazing group and they are doing an incredible job so far. We are all very excited and privileged to have each other. We are going to enjoy it till the end of the season."

On pressure from title talks: "We don't have much time to listen to that. We are busy with games and training. We are far from that. It's normal. We are hear to learn and improve."

More from Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on facing Sunderland: "It's another opportunity to win. To be better in the position. That's it.

"It's going to be a really tough match. Sunderland have been in an incredible all season. We know the complexity of the match.

"They are very competitive. Very good individuals. Very well coached. Very clear identity of what they want to do and where they want to take the game. They are very good at it."
