Ben Knight scored twice as Cambridge beat Walsall 2-0 to make it 10 games unbeaten in League Two.

In the 19th minute the U's produced a pacey attacking move as Knight released James Brophy, whose pullback was completely miscued by Sullay Kaikai.

Cambridge scored in first-half stoppage time when Rico Browne was dispossessed in his own box, allowing Brophy to roll the ball across and give Knight a simple finish.

It should have been 2-0 at half-time, only for Mamadou Jobe to somehow head against the post from a matter of yards.

Knight made it 2-0 eight minutes into the second half, running onto Louis Appere's pass forward and producing an exquisite lob to score from outside the box.

Knight almost completed a spectacular hat-trick in the 59th minute with a flying overhead kick that came back off the crossbar.

Walsall were given a huge chance a minute from the end after Liam Bennett tripped Courtney Clarke in the area, only for Aaron Pressley's penalty to be saved by Jake Eastwood.
