    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Nou Camp

Eddie Howe will be furious. Newcastle have the height and the physicality over this Barcelona team.

A floated ball is headed back across and Bernal can't miss from six yards out.

It's an absolute shocker for Newcastle.

Dan Burn plays his side into trouble after receiving the ball from Aaron Ramsdale but not looking entirely comfortable.

Sandro Tonali comes to bail him out and almost gets himself into trouble too but eventually is able to clear the ball away from danger.

Newcastle’s defence multiple times has been nowhere. Could be a long night for the Toon Army.

    Marc Bernal (18 mins)

    Well that didn't last long!

It's a poor goal to concede from Newcastle's point of view.

Barcelona have a free-kick and it's sent in deep to the back post, Gerard Martin heads it back down across the face of goal and Marc Bernal only has to stab home.

  5. What a responsepublished at 18:03 GMT

    Barcelona 1-1 Newcastle (agg 2-2)

    Ciaran Kelly
BBC Sport reporter at Nou Camp

What a response that is from Newcastle United.

Head coach Eddie Howe repeatedly lowered both his hands on the touchline, urging his players to stay calm, just seconds before Anthony Elanga drew his side level. The Swede was certainly cool in front of goal.

The away end is absolutely jumping.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18:03 GMT

    Barcelona 1-1 Newcastle (agg 2-2)

Joelinton drags Lamine Yamal and he's into the referee's book.

If Newcastle make it through to the last eight the Brazilian will not feature.

  7. 'A brilliant goal'published at 18:02 GMT

    Barcelona 1-1 Newcastle (agg 2-2)

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Nou Camp

It's a brilliant goal, it really is. We said the opportunites will come for Newcastle, and it's from one end to the other.

Really good build-up play on that left hand side, Elanga's finish is sensational it really is.

How big of a goal could that be?

  8. Postpublished at 18:02 GMT

    Barcelona 1-1 Newcastle (agg 2-2)

It was a brilliant goal on the break.

We've just said Barcelona look vulnerable at times and Newcastle have taken full advantage.

The away end enjoyed that one.

    Anthony Elanga (15 mins)

    Newcastle are back level!

A sweeping ball across the top of the box from Lewis Hall and Anthony Elanga runs onto it and steers towards goal with his right foot.

It's a lovely finish. There was a potential shout for offside but replays show he has timed his run to perfection.

  12. 'A sense of vulnerability about Barcelona'published at 17:57 GMT

    Barcelona 1-0 Newcastle (agg 1-1)

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Nou Camp

You do sense there is a vulnerability about Barcelona, Newcastle can hurt them. It's all going to be about their final ball and making the most of their opportunities when they do come their way.

  13. Postpublished at 17:57 GMT

    Barcelona 1-0 Newcastle (agg 2-1)

Newcastle started the match well so there's no need to panic just yet and you do feel that Barcelona are liable to concede.

  14. 'Magnificent finish'published at 17:55 GMT

    Barcelona 1-0 Newcastle (agg 2-1)

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

It's a magnificent finish. Lewis Hall slips at a vital time, if he stays on his feet, it would've been much more difficult for Raphinha.

A beautiful little turn from Yamal. Hall just falls at the wrong time and the ball ends up back at Raphinha's feet.

He takes his time and it's a beautiful finish, no keeper in the world is saving that. But if Hall stayed on his feet, he was intercepting that.

  15. 'What a finish'published at 17:54 GMT

    Barcelona 1-0 Newcastle (agg 2-1)

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

What a finish by Raphinha. The way he waits before having a shot, he is so calm.

Still, there is no need for Newcastle to panic. They had started well before the goal.. and there is still more than 80 minutes left.

You can hear more from Warnock on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

  16. 'Absolutely sensational from Yamal'published at 17:54 GMT

    Barcelona 1-0 Newcastle (agg 1-1)

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Nou Camp

It's a wonderful turn from Lamine Yamal to start it, it's absolutley sensation. They're onto the Newcastle back four all of a sudden.

Raphina's got too much time to compose himself on that lethal left foot.

  17. Postpublished at 17:54 GMT

    Barcelona 1-0 Newcastle (agg 2-1)

Barcelona almost make it two after a mistake from Malick Thiaw but Aaron Ramsdale comes out of his goal and clears the danger.

    Barcelona 1-0 Newcastle (agg 2-1)

    Elizabeth Conway
BBC Sport Spanish football reporter at Camp Nou

    It's that man again.

After a hat-trick on Sunday, he's scored Barcelona's opening goal.

That's 18 goals in all competitions for the Brazilian.

  19. goal

    Raphinha (6 mins)

Well Newcastle were probing for the early goal but it's Barcelona who strike first!

Lamine Yamal's brilliant turn leaves Malick Thiaw on the turf, he finds Raphinha who plays a one-two with Fermin Lopez before the Brazilian picks his spot and slotting into the bottom corner.

Brilliant play and a tough 85 minutes ahead now for Newcastle.

  20. Game will be a 'titanic battle' for Newcastlepublished at 17:50 GMT

It's a wonderful arena to play football in. Newcastle have come in a confident mood and they've now got to walk to talk because this is going to be a titanic battle for them. It's a big pitch and Barcelona are a good side but they'll have their chances.
