I don't think there are any players in that Aberdeen team they can currently sell for money. It's not good enough.

I've not seen an Aberdeen side at Pittodrie give as little effort. I was expecting a physical game, but there was absolutely nothing about them.

Aberdeen interim manager Peter Leven tells BBC Scotland: "I thought the first half was OK, but we never really hurt them.

"Second half was not good enough. We kind of fell away a bit.

"We need more bodies in the box in attack and more composure in the final third.

"There are standards at this club and it needs to be better."

Asked what's gone wrong this season, Leven replies: "A bit of everything, (lack of) confidence, fire, hunger.

"There's some talented players in there. It's just trying to get that out of them."

I said they were out of it, but Rangers are now well and truly in a title race now.

To drag Rangers back into it is incredible [from Danny Rohl], but you've got to kick on.

One title in 15 years isn't good enough, but you would imagine there would another two or three players to come in. Then you never know.

After only winning five of their opening 14 league games of the season (D8 L1), Rangers have since won seven of their past eight.

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Scotland: "The game management was outstanding. I'm happy, that's five wins in a row.

"We couldn't win here for two years and today we showed how we want to play football for 90 minutes. It's a huge step forward.

"We have a clean sheet mentality. You defend to the end and, if you do this, you win games.

"We are growing. We have a clear idea of what we want to do and all the small details influence our performance. I'm very proud. It's a development from everyone at the club, the players, the staff."

Rohl says he didn't see any objects thrown from the stands at full-time and describes the decision to disallow the header from Emmanuel Fernandez as "unlucky" before adding "we showed a great reaction".

Rangers players can't be treated differently to other players. You can't go around spraying water on fans.

There has to be some sort of punishment for Nico Raskin.

Rangers confirmed their first January signing earlier today, midfielder Tochi Chukwuani joining from Sturm Graz on a three-and-a-half year deal.

The 22-year-old was part of the Sturm side that beat Rangers in the Europa League and was sent off for a tackle on Callum McGregor when they lost to Celtic.

In 2022, a move to Serie A club Hellas Verona fell through because a medical examination found a "small heart defect".

"I'm super excited," he told club media. "Rangers are a huge club and I can't wait to hear the roar at Ibrox.

"It's a historic club with a huge fanbase. There are huge expectations, and this is something as a footballer you want to play in front of.

"It gives motivation every weekend to go and give 100% and do what you can to put smiles on people's faces."

Danny Rohl will know himself performances will get better. The team does need quality added to it.

Rangers have built up real good momentum and put themselves in a brilliant position, an unlikely position before Danny Rohl took over.

Since Danny Rohl joined the club in October, Rangers have the most wins (11), points (35) and goals (26) of any Scottish Premiership side, while only Motherwell have conceded fewer goals.

James Tavernier now has 89 Scottish Premiership goals.
