Falkirk have defied the odds all season and this performance encapsulated all the reasons why.
They played expansive football, switching the ball from side-to-side to work overloads in wide areas, where they devastated Kilmarnock from crosses.
Miller has been one of the standouts in the league all season, and his one-two and cross down the left forced Brown to prod by his own goalkeeper for the opener after just 37 seconds.
The winger did similar five minutes into the second half to tee up Stewart's second and kill any notion of a Kilmarnock comeback. They were utterly relentless.
It was a statement victory which effectively - and deservedly - secures their spot in the top six, with Hibs only four points ahead and in their sights.
Kilmarnock's defensive performance will be extremely concerning to manager Neil McCann. It is the fifth time in seven matches they have conceded at least three goals, a trend which cannot continue.
They were alarmingly vulnerable from crosses.
Whether it was the nervousness of goalkeeper Kelle Roos - who parried to the feet of Tait for his first and did not get near the midfielder's second - or their inability to get to the ball first, they were so far off what is needed at this level.
Stewart's first goal, a fantastic header after Coll Donaldson made contact from a corner, was a prime example, while the striker also got his head to the ball before Tait made it 2-0.
Stewart had a further goal disallowed and Falkirk hit the frame of the goal three times, while Roos did also make a few good saves.
It easily could have been worse for Kilmarnock. And though they improved in the Janaury window in attacking areas, not signing a commanding defender looks an oversight.
