  3. Askou admits interest in Well playerspublished at 18:01

    FT: Motherwell 4-0 Kilmarnock

Jens Berthel Askou picks a few players out for special mention.

"A lot of good stuff and it was good to see some new faces," he tells BBC Scotland. "Rocco [McColm] getting his debut - he still needs to grow a bit, but you can see he's an intelligent player.

"Our new player up front [Eythor Bjorgolfsson], he is a handful and is going to be a good player for us. Some really positive moments for us today."

On potential interest in his players this month, Askou adds: "We have a plan and the plan is made to be followed - that is to keep building on what we have.

"There is interest, which is understandable because the players are performing at a very high level. We will see what comes in the summer."

  4. 'Fantastic stuff' from Well - Askoupublished at 17:59 GMT

    FT: Motherwell 4-0 Kilmarnock

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "We started bright and then we switched off for a second and the ball was in the back of the net. We were lucky to be saved by a sharp offside.

"After that disallowed goal, we really stepped on the pedal and didn't look back.

"I'm really impressed with the tempo and quality on a pitch you wouldn't expect us to.

"Fantastic stuff and I was really happy we were able to speed up again at the end and get the fourth goal."

  5. 'My red card caused collapse' - Martindalepublished at 17:56 GMT

    FT: Aberdeen 6-2 Livingston

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland: "That results on me, right? That's on me, first and foremost. I'm not trying to sugarcoat it or trying to find a way out. But I felt the game was just really chaotic.

"I think it came from the refereeing. From the first minute to the last minute. It's the reason I found myself on the red card. And I've got to take responsibility for that. But it was difficult at that moment, at that time.

"The referee never lost control because I don't think he had control. But it's not the reason I got sent off. My actions are the reason I got sent off.

"Then there's a big incident at 3-2, I'm sure, with [Jeremy] Bokila and an Aberdeen player [Jack Milne]. I don't really know too much about that at this point, but I've got a 37-year-old striker in there crying, so I'll need to go and try and get to the bottom of that one.

"And then it was real chaos after that. It was just so open, so chaotic. No structure.

"I think that comes from me getting sent off. I think that comes from me, and I've got to take accountability for that."

  6. McCann hopes for 'bodies in'published at 17:54 GMT

    FT: Motherwell 4-0 Kilmarnock

More from Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann: "I don't think shoulders went down. They're just a group suffering from a lack of confidence.

"To concede so soon after the red card is a massive blow.

"I feel a wee bit of an injustice with the red card I have to say.

"What I will say is I don't see a dressing room that chucked it today. They fought. I'm sorry to the fans who came here that they saw a team that was so good until the red card succumb to that defeat.

"We're working hard - the recruitment side of the club have been going at it to try to get bodies in to help the dressing room."

  7. 'It could have been more' - McGlynnpublished at 17:51 GMT

    FT: Falkirk 4-1 Hibernian

Falkirk manager John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland:"It was a very impressive display, great goals, could have possibly been more. The performance was outstanding; our football was sublime at times. So pleasing for me and my staff.

"I'm delighted for Barney [Stewart]. He scored a hat-trick. It doesn't happen often, but he made it look very easy. I'm delighted for the team for putting on another excellent performance.

"Our DNA for the last three and a half years has been to go for it; we're not a team that will sit back. The game became very open; We could go up the park and be a threat almost every time.

"Back-to-back wins over both Edinburgh teams, for a club like Falkirk, that's outstanding."

  8. 'Red card hurt us' - McCannpublished at 17:46 GMT

    FT: Motherwell 4-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann tells BBC Scotland: "I felt we were the better side in the first part of the game.

"The offside goal was not what killed us today, but it's so marginal. It looks like guesswork.

"We've got another still where it looks like [Liam Polworth] is just on with Sparrow's shoulder.

"What has hurt us is the red card. What we have suffered at Livingston in the early part of the game where the Livingston player's not received the red card and then what we've got today.

"I'm told the first one is reckless. I can't see anything reckless whatsoever. It's such a poor decision, because it puts a combative midfielder on a tightrope. I thought the second one was soft as well.

"When we go down to 10 men against a side with their tails up, it's going to be difficult.

"I'm trying to get instructions on to the pitch. The fourth official knows I'm talking to two of my players and he lets them take a quick free-kick.

"I'm a bit disappointed with that. You're just looking for a wee bit of common sense."

  9. Leven not sure about red cardspublished at 17:43 GMT

    FT: Aberdeen 6-2 Livingston

Livingston striker Jeremy Bokila and Aberdeen centre-half Jack Milne were both sent off during minutes of second-half chaos at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen's Peter Leven adds: "I've not seen a replay. At the time, I just thought the two of them were grabbing each other. The fourth official said to me that both hands were around the neck of each other.

"But, again, I've not seen it back. But, listen, if that's the rules now, that's the rules."

  10. Leven explains disallowed goalpublished at 17:40 GMT

    FT: Aberdeen 6-2 Livingston

Kevin Nisbet had a goal controversially disallowed before the Aberdeen striker scored twice.

Aberdeen caretaker Peter Leven says: "It was a great goal by us again, but I believe the fourth official said they couldn't draw the lines on.

"I always thought you go with the on-field decision, but obviously he's come across and seen that it looked like. He said Nisbet was offside. So, listen, I've got to just take that on the chin."

  11. Dons 'could have scored more' - Levenpublished at 17:38 GMT

    FT: Aberdeen 6-2 Livingston

Aberdeen interim manager Peter Leven tells BBC Scotland: "Really positive result, performance. Again, just switching off set-plays and just lost a wee bit of belief and mentality in that spell.

"I challenged them last week against Raith. We had lots of chances to score. We worked on it in this week, implementing what I want and, again, we could have scored more."

  12. Hibs 'got exactly what we deserved' - Graypublished at 17:36 GMT

    FT: Falkirk 4-1 Hibernian

Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "I didn't see the reaction we were looking for. We got exactly what we deserved. Second best all over the pitch.

"I thought Falkirk played the conditions better; they outworked us and, for this football club, that's not good enough.

"I'm not going to sugarcoat it and I don't want to dilute what Falkirk did today because they did the majority of things well; they approached the game better than we did.

"That performance is a reflection of my team and it's up to me to take full responsibility and try to change that. I'm not making excuses for players not being here, but when you pull on that jersey, you've got a responsibility and an expectation to play for this football club.

"We had too many players who were well below the standards."

  13. McGlynn's own fairytalepublished at 17:33 GMT

    FT: Falkirk 4-1 Hibernian

What a story too for John McGlynn.

The 64-year-old's career looked to be going backwards when he ended his second spell in charge of Raith Rovers in 2022 after they missed out on the promotion play-offs in the Championship.

The following day, he took charge of Falkirk in the league below.

Two successive promotions and now he has his side in the top-six in the Premiership and have just thumped the side sitting directly above.

  14. Stewart plays down 'fairytale hat-trick'published at 17:27 GMT

    FT: Falkirk 4-1 Hibernian

Falkirk striker Barney Stewart, who was playing university football a year ago, is delighted with his first senior hat-trick.

"It feels incredible," he tells BBC Scotland. "You couldn't have asked for more from that game. Three points is huge at this stage.

"We're now two points away from Hibs. We're getting closer to the teams in front of us, which the gaffer and everyone else is absolutely buzzing with.

"It's confidence but not arrogance. We know we still need to work our socks off. The team spirit in that dressing room is unbelievable.

"The gaffer will be buzzing with the style of goals because that's his style of football to a tee. To be honest, people were saying in the changing room that it's a fairytale, but I can't take much of the credit because I've only played four games.

"We're challenging Celtic, beating Hearts, there is no reason why we can't make the top six this season."

A commanding win for Aberdeen in a game that had everything.

From middle to front, the Dons were excellent, playing with a real swagger.

Their defensive frailties were exposed - and punished - on a couple of occasions, but all in all a good afternoon's work for the home side.

It turned in to an afternoon to forget for Livingston.

Brilliant entertainment - I am away for a lie down.
