New signing Ronan Curtis "proved his quality" with three assists on his Plymouth Argyle debut, according to coach Kevin Nancekivell.
The 29-year-old moved to Home Park last weekend from Port Vale for an undisclosed fee.
The winger impressed as he set up three of Argyle's goals, including their late winner, in their dramatic 4-3 Vertu Trophy win at Bristol Rovers.
"I think Ro proved his quality tonight and he's going to be a great signing for this football club," said Nancekivell.
"He's proven at this level, he's fitted in straight away and I look forward to seeing him many more times in an Argyle shirt.
"I was just pleased, like everyone else, that he's got off to a good start and our supporters can see what he's going to bring to the team, so hopefully we see a lot more of that."
One of Curtis' assists was for former Port Vale team-mate Lorent Tolaj.
The 24-year-old scored his 15th goal in 24 appearances for Argyle since his move to Home Park in the summer.
Curtis says he is relishing the chance to reconnect with the Swiss striker.
"We've got a good relationship. I know what he likes, he's a handful to play against and I know what he brings to the table," he said.
"I just put it in a good area for him to get on the end of it and thankfully he was there to put it in the net.
"You look at his goals this season, he's up there with the top goal scorers in the league and I think he can get many many more."
