Plymouth Argyle have signed winger Ronan Curtis from fellow League One strugglers Port Vale on a permanent deal.

The 29-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Home Park where he will team up with former Vale striker Lorent Tolaj - who signed in the summer.

Curtis moved to Vale in the summer of 2024 from AFC Wimbledon and was a part of the squad which won promotion from League Two last season, making 42 league appearances and scoring five times.

He began his career at Derry City before moving to Portsmouth in 2018 where he won the EFL Trophy in his first season, making 226 appearances and scoring 57 goals during a five-year spell at Fratton Park.

"We are really pleased to bring Ronan to the club," Plymouth boss Tom Cleverley told the club website., external

"I am delighted we have been able to bring further quality into the squad so early in the window."

Argyle currently sit 16th in League One, three points above the relegation zone while Vale sit rock bottom of the division, 10 points adrift of safety.
