Northampton Town manager Kevin Nolan has said he is "hopeful" the club can get in new players before the end of transfer deadline day.
The Cobblers brought in striker Jake Evans on loan from Leicester City and former Oxford United defender Elliott Moore on a free transfer earlier in the window.
"I'm hopeful, very hopeful," Nolan told BBC Radio Northampton when asked about potential incomings.
"[We're] looking at plenty of players, getting plenty of players thrown in front of us. Hopefully we'll be doing business by the end of the window but as I've said it's got to match exactly what we need and what we want."
Nolan added: "We're not just going to be doing it for just doing sake so we're having a right go. Hopefully we'll have some news in the next day or in the next few hours or certainly in the final hours."
Northampton are fighting to stay in League One this season and sit second from bottom of the table on 29 points. They face a trip to Barnsley on Tuesday (19:45 GMT)
