Bristol City's Ross McCrorie has been banned for three games for violent conduct which occurred after the Robins' Championship defeat by Millwall last month.

Players and coaching staff from both teams were involved in a brawl on the touchline at full-time after the Robins had a goal disallowed for offside in the 1-0 loss on 6 December.

McCrorie was among those charged by the Football Association in the aftermath. He admitted the charge and accepted the suspension.

It means the versatile defender will be unavailable for Saturday's FA Cup game against Watford, as well as the Championship matches away to Oxford on 17 January and Ipswich on 20 January.

Bristol City forward Harry Cornick was also given a three-game ban for violent conduct for his part in the melee, while midfielder Joe Williams has also been charged along with Millwall goalkeeper Joel Coleman and coach Dave Livermore.

In addition to the individual sanctions, both clubs have also been charged by the FA.

Of the players charged, only McCrorie actually featured in the game, having come off the bench for Mark Sykes in the 64th minute.

Cornick was an unused substitute for the Robins, while Williams and Coleman did not feature in their clubs' matchday squads.
