Los Angeles Chargers 3-16 New England Patriots

Well, it wasn't a classic but it was more of a typical old school play-off game where defence was well and truly on top throughout the contest.

The Pats defence sacked Justin Herbert six times - while their Jaguars counterparts sacked Drake Maye five times so it was a could, tough match.

Maye had his issues, but he kept his cool nicely and continued to throw the ball when he had to claim victory in his post-season debut.

  17. Fumble!published at 03:46 GMT 12 January

Los Angeles Chargers 3-16 New England Patriots - fourth quarter

This time Drake Maye holds on to the ball for too long and when he's hit for a sack the ball pops out again!

Luckily for him the Patriots somehow manage to recover this one, but it also brings up fourth down and the Patriots will boot it away.

  18. Another turnover!published at 03:43 GMT 12 January

Los Angeles Chargers 3-16 New England Patriots - fourth quarter

Justin Herbert was the most pressured and most sacked player in the league - and his O-Line struggles have surfaced again as he's chased down by Chargers pass rush, sacked, and then fumbles the ball.

He takes a huge hit to the midsection as the ball pops out, and he's slow to get up and limp off the field where the training staff will have a look at him.

New England recover the football just inside opposition territory and with just eight minutes left they're well in the driving seat.

A touchdown! We have a touchdown as the Patriots show us they do know where the end zone is - especially Hunter Henry as the tight end takes in the 28-yard catch from Drake Maye and falls into the end zone for a 12-point home lead.
