Mitch Rose puts away a penalty for his second goal against Halifax
Kyle Wootton and Mitch Rose both netted second-half braces as Notts County twice fought back from behind to beat stumbling Halifax 4-2.
Wootton struck either side of Rose's fine 60th-minute equaliser and 81st-minute penalty as County earned only their second National League win in eight matches.
Halifax, meanwhile, have now won just once in 10 league games as they slip out of the top seven.
There was little to separate the sides until Halifax took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Michael Duckworth's shot deflected in off team-mate Shawn McCoulsky.
That was McCoulsky's first goal since joining Halifax on a short-term loan deal from Forest Green earlier this month.
However, County drew level four minutes into the second half when on-loan Scunthorpe striker Wootton - a former Halifax loanee - netted his 10th goal of the season in all competitions.
That was the first of three goals in a manic 11-minute spell which saw Jamie Allen restore Halifax's lead in the 57th minute before Rose made it 2-2 soon after with a superb volley.
Rose then hit the bar but the brother of Tottenham and England defender Danny would not be denied as he slotted home from the spot before Wootton added the visitors' fourth late on.
