Torquay - who made it three successive wins - took control thanks to two early goals. Kyle Cameron headed into the far corner of goal in the eighth minute before the Gulls were awarded a penalty.

Frank Vincent was brought down by Jacob Hanson and Reid stepped up to convert from the spot for a 2-0 lead in the 17th minute.

Reid slotted his second in the 64th minute for Torquay before Liam McAlinden scored 10 minutes from time for the Shaymen.

Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala made the result even more convincing with a 90th minute effort before Michael Duckworth notched Halifax's second in stoppage time.
