Hylton opened the scoring after nine minutes, taking on a defender in the box before poking the ball beyond visiting goalkeeper Dion Henry.
Darren Carter doubled the hosts' advantage with a 14th-minute free-kick from the edge of the box before Hylton turned the ball home on the line to make it 3-0.
Hylton completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute after Daniel Wright had been fouled in the box.
Moors top scorer Adi Yussuf made it 5-0 from inside the area in second-half stoppage time as second-placed Solihull remained two points behind Wrexham with a game in hand.
