Eastleigh 0-1 FC Halifax Town

  • Published

James Ferry struck 13 minutes from time as Halifax ended Eastleigh's five-game winning streak.

The Shaymen kept their hosts at bay in the early stages, but that was thanks in part to goalkeeper Sam Johnson, who clawed away Josh Hare's powerful strike.

Eastleigh were denied again soon after when Chris Zebroski hit the crossbar, and on the follow-up Hare also struck the frame of the goal.

In the second half, the hosts had a scare when Luke Southwood was forced to save expertly in a one-on-one with Halifax substitute Scott Quigley.

But Halifax claimed a 77th-minute winner when Ferry smashed in from 30 yards.
