Halifax lived to regret Matty Kosylo's early disallowed goal as they shared the points from a goalless National League draw with Barrow at Holker Street.
Kosylo had a goal chalked off in the 19th minute as he was ruled offside after chipping Cameron King's pass beyond Barrow goalkeeper Joel Dixon.
Scott Quigley beat Dixon but not the post as Fax continued to turn the screw and the on-loan Blackpool striker worked the keeper again just before the break after collecting James Berrett's through-ball.
A constant menace to the Barrow defence, Quigley came up just short when King drifted a cross into the penalty area in the 51st minute, while Dayle Southwell nodded past a post on the hour mark.
