Blackburn Rovers 2-1 West Bromwich Albion: Struggling Rovers earn first win in six games

Bradley Dack's goal for Blackburn Rovers was his 10th of the season
Two goals in five second-half minutes saw struggling Blackburn beat high-flying West Bromwich Albion.
Charlie Mulgrew scored direct from a corner for the second time this season to give Rovers the lead seven minutes after half-time before Bradley Dack blasted into the top corner after a counter-attack.
Influential Baggies midfielder Harvey Barnes - who is being linked with a return to parent club Leicester City from his loan at The Hawthorns - was felled in the penalty area six minutes later, with Jay Rodriguez pulling one back from the spot.
Albion pushed for an equaliser, but their hopes were extinguished when Jake Livermore was sent off a clash with Lewis Travis three minutes from the end.
Livermore's second red card of the season will result in a four-game suspension for the England international.
The win was just the second since the start of November for Blackburn, who stayed 15th in the Championship, while the Baggies dropped one place to fourth as they lost for the first time in two months.
Danny Graham had a couple of early chances for Rovers in the first half, while Barnes had the best efforts for the Baggies.
Dack almost put Blackburn ahead at the break, but his low shot from 20 yards was parried by Sam Johnstone.
But the West Brom keeper could not reach Mulgrew's left-footed corner as he and a host of other players were left in a pile in the net after the opening goal was allowed to stand.
Albion had a chance to nick a point soon after pulling a goal back, but the influential Barnes saw an effort from the edge of the box blocked.
Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray: "It's not an accident that Charlie Mulgrew can bend the ball in the net from the corner flag and we had enough people get in front of the keeper.
"You probably don't believe that but we did work on it. If you've been to our games, you'll know he's been playing in the middle trying to head the ball in.
"But I made the decision last week that he's going to start taking them again from the right side with his left foot, and he has to shoot, and it worked.
"I am delighted for Charlie. It's another avenue for him to try and continue in his goalscoring vein - 14 last year, eight this year. It is a pretty amazing tool that he's got."
West Brom manager Darren Moore: "We went nine games unbeaten. We wanted to go 10. We've been on an impressive run of games, we were trying to chalk up our fifth away win this season (in succession), but it wasn't to be.
"All I've said initially is 'lads, get yourselves gone. Let's get home, back with your families, let's have 24 hours away from football' and we recharge and go again.
"I thought Blackburn were dogged with their work. In the first half both teams cancelled each other out then the two quick goals for Blackburn allowed them to hold on to something in the second half."
