FC Halifax's home game against Dagenham & Redbridge was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at The Shay.
Match referee Joseph Johnson declared conditions playable when he carried out an inspection at 12:30 GMT.
However, he took a second look at the pitch at 13:45 after the weather deteriorated and decided it was not good enough for the game to take place.
"The decision was made with safety in mind for both sets of players," said a statement on the Halifax website.
No date has yet been announced for the rearranged fixture.
