Defender James Jennings scored on his return for Wrexham

Chris Holroyd and James Jennings struck against 10-man Maidenhead to send Wrexham back to second in the National League.

Holroyd hammered in his chance before the break for the hosts.

A dangerously high tackle prompted midfielder Ryan Upward's red card on the hour.

The Magpies continued to graft and create chances, but Jennings delivered the decisive goal on his return, as his shot took a deflection.

Sutton United stayed top of the division after beating Eastleigh 2-0, but Wrexham are level on points with the leaders while Maidenhead remain 14th.
