Maidstone defender Alex Finney scored deep into stoppage time to earn Maidstone a narrow National League victory at home to Chester.
Lucas Dawson fired just wide for Chester inside the opening two minutes before big defender Ryan Astles shot over.
Maidstone came closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half when Stuart Lewis's deflected strike hit the inside of a post.
Joe Pigott then missed a glorious chance when he found himself through on goal.
But Maidstone were not to be denied, Finney smashing home the winner five minutes into added time.
The hosts climb five places to fifth, while Chester, injury-time winners themselves in midweek, drop back into the relegation zone.
