Dover Athletic 3-1 Woking

Ryan Bird moved to joint top spot in the National League goalscoring charts as his Dover side beat Woking 3-1 at the Crabble Athletic Ground.

The Whites got off to the perfect start when Bird headed in from a corner inside five minutes.

The striker continued his flying start to the season later in the half with a poacher's side-foot in the six-yard box, his ninth of the campaign.

After the break, Inih Effiong helped to stimulate a Woking comeback with a ball for Joe Ward, who knocked in at the second attempt.

But Manny Parry came up from the back to head in a corner to restore the two-goal cushion for Chris Kinnear's side who moved top of the league.
