Another handy over from Jamie Overton, who is an asset to Harry Brook and England during these middle overs.

Salman Agha picks up a single off the fourth ball of his over with a punch off a short ball, but otherwise miserly from the England seamer.

Will Jacks has been getting a little bit of turn and this is right on the money.

It's a bit of a nothing shot from Babar Azam and he gets himself in a tangle.

    Good bowling from Jacks.

Reward for Will Jacks and it's the big one!

Jamie Overton with a tight-ish over and England get the breakthrough they have wanted and Jacks' persistence and accuracy pays off.

The England all-rounder manages to get one to skid on and Babar Azam decides to go back to one and is bowled through the gate.

Babar slumps on to his bat.

I still want to see England use their two bouncers to Babar Azam here. When it's around his throat is when he struggles.

I want Jamie Overton to use two bouncers to Azam each over.

  10. Pak 54-2published at 13 overs

Four useful overs from Will Jacks, who has held his length pretty well, so far.

Said Baig and Babar Azam manage to eke out three singles from the over.

A good start by England. Now the question is whether they can continue to take wickets through the middle overs to really put the pressure on Pakistan.

I'm surprised that England have not tried to bounce Babar Azam yet. We have seen him face difficulties against the short ball in the not too distant past.

Saad Baig gets himself off the mark with deft use of soft hands as he guides Gus Atkinson through the vacant third region for four.

    Nicely done.

That boundary just releases a modicum of the pressure building on Pakistan.

A couple of balls later and Saad is confident enough to crisply drive one a fraction too full and floaty from Atkinson through the covers for four.

  18. Pak 34-2published at 9 overs

"Wow!" shouts Harry Brook at first slip as Will Jacks manages to fizz one past the bat of Babar Azam at the start of his second over.

A couple of balls later and Babar nudges a single to get off strike.

The left-handed Saad Baig is taking his time, playing patiently, and keeps out the rest of the over.
