  2. What's happening tomorrow?published at 17:25 GMT

We will have three more games on the second day of the T20 World Cup.

New Zealand and Afghanistan will kick us off nice and early in Chennai with a 5:30 GMT start here in the UK.

But the big one is of course England's opener against Nepal in Mumbai from 9:30.

Then in Colombo, co-hosts Sri Lanka will take on Ireland from 13:30.

  3. 'I was trying to bat this way for a long time'published at 17:22 GMT

India captain Suryakumar Yadav: "I was trying to bat this way the whole of last year, holding the innings for the time, but it wasn't happening. I spend a lot of time with the family and started again in the new year. And then we went to Nagpur, it was a different feeling altogether.

"I always felt there was a need for a batter to bat till the end. I felt it was a 140 wicket. Gautam Gambhir also told me to bat till the end during the drinks break. I have also played a lot of wickets in Mumbai and the grounds here, so I knew how to bat on these kind of wickets."

It was well deserved in the end and India will take great heart from the way they fought back from the position they found themselves in.

Suryakumar Yadav was outstanding with the way that he kept calm. They flexed their muscles in the second half of the game, they've got some great players to come back as well.

Great to see Mohammad Mohsin out there for the USA. Such a nice chap - he was the pro at our local club and looked after and coached all the kids - proper gentleman.

  9. USA 121-7published at 19 overs

    41 needed off 6 balls

Shubham Ranjane keeps up the aggression but not quite the execution.

He miscues his shot in back-to-back deliveries but both times the ball falling safe from the reach of India fielders.

  10. 6 runs

It felt like the game was really gone when the partnership between Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Milind Kumar came to an end.

As soon as that happened it felt like any momentum went out of this run chase which is a real shame because at one point they would have had hopes of sending some India fans home really disappointed this evening.

  12. USA 111-7published at 18 overs

    51 needed off 12 balls

Arshdeep Singh wraps up his spell with excellent figures of 2-13.

Just two overs remain, and with 51 runs still required, this chase is all but out of reach for the USA.

Fair play to the USA they really gave it a go but the quality of India is always going to show

    Ben, Newcastle

  15. USA 100-6published at 17 overs

    58 needed off 18 balls

A miserly over from Hardik Pandya as the crowd are slowly filtering out of the Wankhede, already certain of the result.

It will need noting short of a miracle for USA to get the 58 runs needed off the final three overs.

  16. USA 100-6published at 16 overs

    62 needed off 24 balls

There's no hat-trick for Axar Patel this time.

But USA do get to three figures - still, at six wickets down, any realistic hope of an upset has quickly slipped away in Mumbai.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.3 overs

    Harmeet c Siraj b Patel 0 (USA 98-6)

Axar Patel is on a hat-trick!

Harmeet Singh, who won the Under-19 World Cup with India back in 2012, is the new batter and he sweeps the first delivery straight into the hands of Mohammed Siraj.

The USA dressing room will be thinking about opportunities missed.

It felt as India ran away with that momentum and they have done that in the face of some degree of adversity in these conditions. They won't want to find themselves in this situation again.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.2 overs

    Krishnamurthi c Rinku b Axar 37 (USA 98-5)

Axar Patel gets his wicket as Shubham Ranjane doesn't get the distance on a slog.

Rinku Singh gets under it and has a safe pair of hands to dismiss the USA batter.

  20. 6 runs

    USA 98-4published at 15 overs

    64 needed off 30 balls

Shubham Ranjane gets low and muscles Varun Chakravarthy over long-on for a maximum.

Are USA starting to dream here? They need 64 runs from the final five overs.
