  4. What next for Kelly?published at 22:33 GMT 31 January

Kelly beats Murtazaliev by majority decision

Josh Kelly's win means that he is now the IBF light-middleweight champion. But what next for the North East man?

Xander Zayas is the WBO champion of the division, and he faces Abass Baraou later tonight. That could be a fight Kelly is keeping an eye on for a potential match-up.

Sebastian Fundora is the WBC champion in the division after beating Tim Tszyu in July last year. He does not currently have a fight scheduled.

There are options away from fighting for a new belt too, as Kelly will no doubt want to defend his new title in a North East venue once again.

Josh Kelly speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "It feels like a dream. I envisioned this.

"I was praying a couple of days ago, envisioned the fight, and I had de ja vu of the knockdown in the tenth round.

"I had to concentrate, I feel overwhelmed. I need to take a second backstage to gather myself. I'm mentally exhausted."

Of course, Fran Hennessy could once again fight a fellow Briton next.

Could we soon see her in the ring with Shannon Courtenay or Ebanie Bridges?

There is also 19-year-old Tiah-Mai Ayton. What a fight that would be!

  9. What next for Hennessy?published at 22:19 GMT 31 January

Hennessy beats Bouttell by majority decision

Fran Hennessy's win over Ellie Bouttell moves her to a perfect eight wins from eight fights. But what next for the 21-year-old?

Her fight with Bouttell was the WBC bantamweight world title eliminator and Cherneka Johnson holds that belt along with the other three world titles.

That fight may be too soon for Hennessy, who showed vulnerabilities against the inexperienced Bouttell, so Ben Shalom may look to continue to build her up.

Josh Kelly speaking to DAZN: "I am a kid from the northeast and everyone form the northeast, Sunderland, knows what it's like growing up.

"Big yourselves up tonight, you were unbelievable.

"If it wasn't for this crowd and the energy I wouldn't have got up from being knocked down in the ninth round.

    "This feels like a dream.

"I was cool, calm, collected, and didn't get greedy - except from in the ninth round, and I nearly paid for it."

  12. Kelly wins a close callpublished at 22:10 GMT 31 January

    Murtazaliev v Kelly

Our team was split on that one.

Bobbie Jackson at ringside thought Kelly had done enough, whereas I had it down as a draw.

The judges clearly agreed it was a close fight, with scorecards of 113-113, 114-113 and 115-111.

The crowd in Newcastle clearly think that the right call was made. "Josh Kelly, he's one of our own" rings out around the arena once again.

    Murtazaliev v Kelly

    Tony Bellew
    Retired world champion on DAZN

Kelly was really good, he moved really well. It was close, but he came good in the final two rounds and that's what matters.

If he gets the nod then it will be a brilliant, brilliant win.

  16. Round 12 - Murtazaliev v Kellypublished at 22:03 GMT 31 January

How do you have that one?

Kelly thinks he's done enough and had his hand raised at the end of the round. He might have taken that last round after he got Murtazaliev in the corner covering up, and landed a flurry of punches.

The crowd think he's done enough, but I think it was very close.

Be interesting to see how the judges have this!

  18. Round 11 - Murtazaliev v Kellypublished at 21:58 GMT 31 January

It was a better round from Kelly, but I still give that round to Murtazaliev.

Both of them look tired, but Murtazaliev looks to be ending this fight the stronger fighter.

I think Kelly might have to win this last round.

    George Groves
Former world champion on BBC Two

Hennessy wasn't able to do the silky, showboat-y stuff we've seen before.

She was dragged into a tough fight here tonight. It will be the making of her, she will mature from this.

I wouldn't mind seeing that fight again, in a fight or two time. See if she can win clearer than she did tonight.

I want to see her against some tougher fighters - I wouldn't rush her to the top just yet.
