She's done it! Caroline Dubois becomes the unified lightweight champion with two judges calling it 98-91 in her favour and the other calling her a 97-92 winner.

That was a round I never thought I'd see; Harper and Dubois going toe-to-toe like a couple of middleweights from the 1950s.

Harper has to go for it. She manages to land a few body blows but that opens her own defences up and Dubois manages to squeeze through a couple of high jabs.
This title fight has lit up, with loads of trades. An even round, but Dubois surely has the scorecard lead.

A very bad looking cut, but it seemed to tell Harper 'I'm going to set my feet, throw a shot at see how it goes' and she caught Dubois with a couple of good shots - but there is nothing wrong with her chin.

Harper's corner have a real job to do cleaning their boxer up. There's a lot of blood coming from a cut just above her left eye.

Cut the ring off a bit more and double or triple the jabs. She is posing too much - when she lands, it is devastating so I want her to be more active.

Into the business end. Round eight starts with a clash of heads and Harper's eyebrow gets cut. Her face bloodies quickly.
Dubois continues to control the momentum. She rattles off a combination. With 15 seconds to go in the round she puts Harper into the corner but she can't finish her opponent off.

Dubois comes forward and Harper just about manages to block a jab.
Harper knows she has to come forward, she has to attack. But Dubois cuts off the angles and takes this latest round.

Finally we burst into life! Dubois gets the breakthrough and sits Harper down who survives the count.
It's a great one-two combo to the head with Harper on the ropes. It really does come out of nowhere. Dubois' so relieved she leaps up into the air to celebrate.
The referee starts giving out to her for not returning to her corner. Harper looks dazed but the bell rings.

This is still a really tight and really technical fight.
You can win a round in this fight with four punches. This is a chess match.

It stays tense for another round. Nervy. Neither boxer wants to give anything away.
Again Dubois is doing more of the attacking, but Harper is easily evading her shots.
Before the fight Dubois was very vocal about finishing this bout early. Harper said she'd win it in the later rounds.

We should've seen this coming with so much on the line. And, of course, things can change so quickly. Dubois finishes the round strongly with a nice combo, but the bell stops her progress.
