So then, the Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions again, and like their first victory in 2014 it was powered by an awesome defensive performance.

The 'Dark Side' are not quite the 'Legion of Boom' and they go about their business differently but they're certainly as dominant as they come and they could be around for a few more years yet.

Head coach Mike Macdonald is also the third youngest to win a Super Bowl so he's got years ahead of him to try and build his side into a dynasty - but can they go again next season?

Can Mike Vrabel and the Patriots bounce back from his bitter disappointment? I guess you'll just have to join us next season to find out!

    We already can't wait.

Find someone who looks at you the way Mike Macdonald looks at Seahawks general manager John Schneider...

Schneider has just become the first GM to ever build two completely different Super Bowls winning rosters - including a different head coach.

Yes, you need great coaches and great players, but somebody has to bring them all together than that man in Seattle is Schneider.

He was a big reason Macdonald chose to join the Seahawks and in terms of drafting and moving on from players like Russell Wilson, Geno Smith and DK Metcalf, Schneider just seems to have made all the right moves at the right times.

Apologies Patriots fans but you've now become the biggest losers in Super Bowl history. Actually, that may sound a bit harsh but you know what I mean - with New England's record now 6-6 in the big game they've lost more than anyone else.

Of course, some teams would love to have lost six Super Bowls as that'd mean they'd made six Super Bowls, but it's still a bitter pill to swallow.

All is not lost though - Drake Maye struggled tonight but he's only 23 and in his second NFL season so if he can use this experience the right way it could be the making of him.

Head coach Mike Vrabel is in his first year and they had more games played by players in their first year with the team than anyone else in the league - so in theory the future should be bright.

You just never know in the NFL though...

The Seahawks swarmed young quarterback Drake Maye who struggled to find his feet in the biggest game in the sport in just his second season in the NFL.

  12. MVP?published at 03:40 GMT 9 February

If you could give it to the entire unit then Seattle's defence would get it, but after Kenneth Walker's individual display, with 135 yards the biggest rushing total in 28 years in the Super Bowl, probably deserves it.

And he'd be the first running back to win Super Bowl MVP since Terrell Davis in 1998.

I am so proud of our guys. Our defence - I cannot say enough great things about our defence and special teams. I know we won the Super Bowl but we could have been a little bit better on offence but I don't care about that right now. It is an unbelievable feeling. I am so happy for the guys in the locker room and the coaches that put in so much effort throughout the season."

On how he got to this point: "I think that's it. All my team-mates, all the coaches I have ever had, always believed in me. I have always believed in myself because of my family and friends. It's as simple as that, as long as you believe in yourself, anything is possible. "
