What a way for the Chicago Bears to win their first play-off game for 15 years - it was certainly worth the wait as fans at Soldier Field witnessed an all-time classic.

It's the seventh game Caleb Williams has won this season when trailing in the final two minutes - that's the most in NFL history and shows what a special talent he looks like he can be.

The way the entire team came alive in the second half, and stepped it up again in the fourth quarter was remarkable - but then again they've been doing it all season and you could just tell they're comfortable with being uncomfortable down the stretch.

That's such a good habit to have in the NFL play-offs.

  5. 'We understand what this means'published at 04:55 GMT

Caleb Williams on how the Bears pulled off that incredible victory:

"It’s 60 minutes of football, we understand and know who we are, we understand what this means to the city, the organisation and us. You keep going, keep going and fighting and you look up at the clock and see who’s won."

They've done it all season but at 21-3 down at half-time and 21-6 going into the fourth quarter, even die hard Chicago fans must have feared the worst.

But Caleb Williams and his side never know when they're beaten, and that makes them a dangerous side against anyone - as they were a different animal in that fourth quarter.

They scored 25 points in the final 15 minutes - the second most points scored in any quarter in any play-off game, while they became just the fourth team to win when trailing by 15-plus points in the fourth quarter of a post-season game.

Green Bay did not help themselves, Brandon McManus will be kicking himself, if he can, after missing a field goal and extra point - which meant that the Packers were unable to take a late field goal when in range as they were four points down instead of three.

But maybe it was never in the stars for them, and maybe Chicago are a team of destiny this season?

  7. Bears win!published at 04:36 GMT

Green Bay Packers 27-31 Chicago Bears

What an ending! Jordan Love fumbles the snap, then runs around for an age in the backfield with hardly any Bears defenders there.

They're all in the end zone waiting for the last-gasp throw, which Love delivers but the ball drops to the ground and Chicago can celebrate an epic victory.

Jordan Love is hit as he tries to throw and the ball bobles out of bounds.

Probably just one play left in this game with seven seconds left on the clock.

  9. Close!published at 04:33 GMT

Christian Watson reaches up but just can't gather the ball right on the goal line. Just 13 seconds left so maybe a couple of shots into the end zone.

And then a penalty on Green Bay moves them back five yards.

Jayden Reed takes a great catch over the middle for 20 yards to get to the Chicago 23, but there's an injured Packer down and with no time outs left that costs them 10 seconds!

So there's now just 22 seconds left - this is brilliant play-off drama.

Romeo Doubs converts on third and three as Green Bay progress to the Chicago 43 and then take their final time out.

Only 44 seconds left now and they can't stop the clock.

I can't help but think of that missed extra point now. Had the Packers kicked that, they'd be playing for a field goal now to send it to overtime.

  13. Dropped!published at 04:29 GMT

Green Bay Packers 27-31 Chicago Bears

That could've been a huge gain but Jayden Reed drops it.

Jordan Love slings a ball to the left sideline and rookie Matthew Golden takes the catch to move the chains and gets out of bounds to stop the clock.

    One minute left...

Romeo Doubs can't make the catch so it's fourth down and seven with a minute and eight seconds on the clock.

    This is the game here..

The Bears look like they're going to throw a quick screen pass but then release DJ Moore down the left sideline.

The Packers completely lost Moore behind them because their eyes were on the quick screen. Once they bit on it, it was an easy throw to Moore for the touchdown.

But this game's a long way from being over.

Josh Jacobs avoids a negative play but gains just three yards.

Jordan Love is then almost picked off with a desperate throw down the middle - crucial third down coming up.

Did you doubt it!? Caleb Williams hits DJ Moore for a 25-yard touchdown as the Bears take the lead!

A pump fake by Williams did the trick as the defender bit on a screen pass, allowing Moore to just ghost in behind him and take a simple catch.

There's a minute and 43 left in this game and Green Bay now need a touchdown as they're four points behind.

  19. Two-minute warningpublished at 04:23 GMT

Green Bay Packers 27-24 Chicago Bears

Chicago will restart just inside the Green Bay half on second and four and just three points down.

They trailed 21-3 at half-time remember, and 21-6 going into the fourth quarter - a win here would make them just the fourth team to win a play-off game after being 15-plus points behind in the fourth quarter.

You wonder how much that five-yard penalty for a delay of game impacted this kick. That thing was leaning right the whole way.
