Houston Texans 30-6 Pittsburgh Steelers
Image source, Getty ImagesSix points is the fewest Aaron Rodgers has had in any of his 22 play-off games - as he finished with 17 completions for 146 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.
Rodgers was sacked four times and managed to convert just two of 14 third downs in a constant struggle against the Texans defence.
If that was his last NFL game it wasn't exactly his best.

"We knew it was going to be a heavyweight match-up, we've got a ton of respect for Aaron, he's a great guy and a great player.
"For us it was not getting frustrated and affecting him any way we could, batting it down, getting pressure, taking the ball, stopping the run was huge for us tonight."
And on facing the Patriots next: "Ton of respect for Drake Maye and that team, a young quarterback and a really great team, can't wait for that match-up."

That's the game, both Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers trudge onto the field as the Houston Texans run out comfortable winners against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In some ways it was a mismatch between the Texans' league-leading defence and Rodgers' attack that just couldn't find a way to move the ball effectively.
It was only close for so long as CJ Stroud kept coughing up possession with three turnovers, but Pittsburgh couldn't take adavantage.
Houston will head to New England next week while Pittsburgh will pack their bags, but will it be a final farewell for Aaron Rodgers?

Image source, Getty ImagesAaron Rodgers has recently said that this was "probably" his last season in the NFL - and tonight's beating by the Texans defence may just have convinced him that it really is over.
He's been harassed all night and at 42 does he really need to be putting himself through all that again?
He's not really played that poorly, but the offence around him just isn't up to a test like Houston bring. And he's now on the sideline watching with this season at least well and truly over.

Aaron Rodgers has the best ever interception percentage but in a desperate last roll of the dice he flings a ball forward but sees it picked off by Calen Bullock, who adds insult to injury by returning it 50 yards for a touchdown.
If this is the end of the line for four-time MVP Rodgers then what a way to go out, with a pick six!
Houston Texans 24-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - fourth quarter
Image source, Getty ImagesThat's the game! Rookie running back Woody Marks caps his best game this season with a 13-yard touchdown run.
Pittsburgh's defence was completely gassed on this drive, just worn down by Houston having so much of the ball and there's no coming back from this now with less than four minutes remaining.
Houston will be off to New England next week.

Image source, Getty ImagesChristian Kirk has been the difference maker for Houston's offence, as the speedster catches a short pass and takes it 33 yards as we duck inside the six-minute mark.
Houston's offence hasn't been great, but they've done well getting the ball to Kirk, who has has eight catches for 144 yards so far.

Could Pittsburgh have done more? Well, hindsight is a wonderful thing, and I'm no NFL coach but I'd have certainly thrown the ball more to Pat Freiermuth, who has had two targets all night.
And I'd certainly try and get DK Metcalf the ball as he's only been targeted once since the end of the first quarter after starting with two grabs for 42 yards.
You have to get creative against Houston and you have to make throws beyond the line of scrimmage not the short flat screens and checkdowns Rodgers has been forced to make.
Houston Texans 17-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - fourth quarter
Aaron Rodgers next up sees his pass batted down at the line and Pittsburgh will kick it away. There's still 9:39 left in the game but Houston's defence has just been all powerful tonight.
The Steelers could play the Texans for a week and not score 11 points right now.
Houston Texans 17-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - fourth quarter
Aaron Rodgers gets tripped up by his own man for a loss of a few yards and then misses a well covered DK Metcalf to bring up a third and long.

Quite aptly Houston's defence may have just sealed victory here, as Will Anderson strip sacks Aaron Rodgers and Sheldon Rankins picks up the loose ball and returns it 33 yards for a touchdown.
They've been superb all night and they get their reward with a big man touchdown - something pretty rare in the play-offs.
It's an 11-point game with 11 minutes left on the clock - that's not a good equation for Pittsburgh.
Houston Texans 10-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - fourth quarter
Kenneth Gainwell gets the drive off to a good start with a 14-yard rush. Pittsburgh need to look for plenty of Kenny G in the open field if they can.
And where's DK Metcalf?

Troy Aikman
Three-time Super Bowl winner on ESPN
The story of this game has really been the third-down dominance of the Texans offensively and how good they've been on defence in not allowing third-down conversions by Pittsburgh.

Ka'imi Fairbairn converts from 51 yards out to give Houston a four-point lead with just over 13 minutes left on the clock.
Is that already enough? It means Pittsburgh need a touchdown - or two field goals of course - but Houston's defence doesn't look like giving anything away.
