Tom Bedford has been capped by England at youth level
Plymouth Albion have signed former Exeter Chiefs and Newcastle Falcons centre Tom Bedford.
The 26-year-old is the latest player to join Albion's squad as they prepare for National One after being relegated from the Championship last season.
Bedford was part of the Devon side which won the 2007 County Championship under the guidance of current Albion boss Graham Dawe.
Last season, Bedford played for Albion's National One rivals Esher.
Bedford's arrival comes after Plymouth brought in New Zealand-born hooker James Penman, having already secured the services of Australians Marc Koteczky and Ethan Ford, as well as Cameron Setter and Dan Pullinger.
The club have also held talks with Cornwall and England Counties scrum-half Matt Shepherd and have signed Exeter academy trio Jack Maunder, Ed Holmes and Harrison Cully on season-long loans.
