David Raya: Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper signs new contract

Goalkeeper David Raya has signed a new three-year contract with Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

The 19-year-old Spanish keeper made his solitary appearance for Rovers in the 3-0 win at Leeds earlier this month.

He spent five months on loan in the Conference at Southport earlier in the season, helping them reach the FA Cup third round, where they lost to Derby.

"It has been a great year for me. I've grown up as a player and as a person," said Raya.

"The next step for me is to try to get a regular place in the team and play as many games as I can."
