Read and listen to them here, and see pictures... :: Sheffield's ownClinton Woods (born 1 May, 1972 in Sheffield) Clinton matches Antonio Tarver at 6'2". Clinton gained the title of IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion in March 2005 defeating Rico Hoye. He has also previously fought for the WBC Light Heavyweight title but lost to Roy Jones Jr in 2002. In May 2006, Woods defeated Australia's Jason DeLisle in the sixth round. ![]() Clinton and Antonio Tarver at their weigh-in Woods was scheduled to defend his IBF Light Heavyweight title against Julio González in Las Vegas, 2007. Woods was forced to withdraw through injury. He did win the re-arranged fight in Sheffield on points. Clinton's other defence came against his nemesis Glen Johnson who he beat on a split decision in Bolton, it was the third time the pair met. Clinton Woods lost his IBF light-heavyweight title in the fight against Antonio Tarver on April 12th, 2008. "I fought the best light-heavyweight in the world," said the 35-year-old. "I'm happy with my career but I don't know if I'll stop. I've done everything I wanted to do... maybe I have something left." ![]() Clinton Woods hits Antonio Tarver :: The opponentAntonio Deon Tarver (born November 21, 1968), nicknamed the "Magic Man," is a professional boxer from Orlando, Florida. He is the former Ring Light Heavyweight Champion of the world. He stands at 6'2" and was the first man ever to knock out Roy Jones Jr. Tarver built an impressive amateur career, which included winning a bronze medal while representing the United States at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He captured the world title at the 1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Berlin, just two months after having triumphed at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata.
