Hannah Bourne-Taylor has always been bird obsessed. So when she came across an abandoned baby finch, at risk of being eaten by cobras, instinct kicked in and she rescued it. They developed an incredible bond, with the bird even nesting in her hair. At the time, Hannah had been struggling with extreme anxiety and debilitating obsessive compulsive disorder. Raising the finch would be transformative for her. Hannah’s written a book about her experience called Fledgling.
