In 1953, Blackpool won one of the most famous FA Cup finals of all time when they came back to beat Bolton 4-3 in extra time. The Blackpool victory was engineered by the legendary Sir Stanley Matthews and later became known as the "Matthews Final". In 2013, Simon Watts spoke to the former Blackpool players Cyril Robinson and Jimmy Armfield. Cyril Robinson died in 2019 and Jimmy Armfield in 2018.
