The Mysterious Brazilian Bloggers

Trending

Available for over a year

A BBC investigation has found that a fake blog and fake social media accounts were created to support the campaign of the former Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff. The story goes all the way back to the 2010 election which Rouseff won. As Brazilians look forward to a presidential election later in 2018, we hear from Juliana Gragnani on her investigation. Also, who’s behind the odd messages from male strangers that appear in your inbox on Facebook, or in your DMs on Twitter? Journalist Hussein Kesvani tells BBC Trending what happened when he struck up a conversation with a man who was in search of ‘Fraaandship’.
