Michelle Obama urges voters to support Joe Biden

The former first lady of the United States Michelle Obama has launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump on the opening day of the National Democratic Convention. She accused Mr Trump of being the wrong president for the country and of being clearly in over his head. Opposition protesters in Belarus have held a ninth night of protests against the continued leadership of Alexander Lukashenko, saying his re-election as president with an official landslide majority was fraudulent. The Covid-19 virus, from what we know, has not spread as widely in Africa as in other parts of the world. There is a concern though, that with less testing taking place we simply don't know how widespread it is. The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention is next week starting to implement tests in seven African countries.
