Newsday

Available for over a year

The United Nations secretary-general, Antonio Guterres, has said he's disappointed by the lack of international cooperation in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. In a BBC interview, Mr Guterres also criticised the world's strongest nations for what he called a failure to combine power and leadership. President Trump says he's seen evidence linking the new coronavirus to a laboratory in Wuhan in China. But pressed by reporters, he couldn't say why he had a high degree of confidence it originated there. Mr Trump suggested he might respond by imposing new tariffs. There fears that the capital's Metro system could be overwhelmed with travellers when lockdown is eventually lifted. The French government has put aside 21 million dollars aside to help people get on their bikes.
