President Trump claims ‘evidence’ linking coronavirus to laboratory

Newsday

Available for over a year

President Trump says he's seen evidence linking the new coronavirus to a laboratory in Wuhan in China. But pressed by reporters, he couldn't say why he had a high degree of confidence it originated there. Mr Trump suggested he might respond by imposing new tariffs. Covid-19 is mostly thought of as an upper respiratory illness that attacks the lungs, but with occasional symptoms of dizziness, headache, stroke and memory loss it's being suggested the virus may also impact some parts or functions of the brains. The legendary Nigerian drummer Tony Allen has died, aged 79 in Paris. His manager said they don't yet know the cause of death but it wasn't linked to coronavirus.
