Scotch whisky makers urge US to drop tariffs

World Business Report

Available for over a year

Whisky distillers from Scotland are in the United States lobbying for an end to tariffs, which were placed on their drinks as part of the transatlantic row over subsidies to aircraft manufacturers. Graeme Littlejohn, from the Scotch Whisky Association, tells us why the tariffs could do long term damage to sales in the key American market. A rare Beatles record, the first disc by the group ever played on radio is up for auction. The auctioneer tells us why the record is worth thousands and how avid collectors are driving the market for pop music memorabilia. And we investigate the economic benefits of making public transport free to all users. (Picture: Scotch Whisky on sale. Copyright Getty Images.)
