An investigation is continuing after a Ukrainian passenger plane, carrying about 170 people, crashed shortly after take-off from Tehran in Iran. US vice-president Mike Pence says Americans are now safer after the assassination of the Iranian general Qasem Soleimani and that Tehran is telling its militias not to attack US targets.
