Australia fires: thousands urged to flee

Soaring temperatures and strong winds have sparked new fires in the Australian state of Victoria, where tens of thousands of people were urged to flee. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced a series of measures to tackle a "crisis" of anti-Semitic attacks, following a mass stabbing. The United States military says it's launched airstrikes against the Al-Shabaab militant group in Somalia in reposnse to a blast which killed seventy-nine people were killed in the capital, Mogadishu.
