We go to New Zealand where the authorities are due to start the task of recovering the bodies of those who are missing and presumed dead after the volcano on White Island erupted. The government in India has passed a bill in the lower house of parliament which offers amnesty to non-Muslim-illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Sudan says it is close to agreeing a settlement with the families of those killed in the 1998 US Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania. We hear from a former US official.
