There's been a huge surge in support for pro-democracy candidates in Hong Kong's local elections. They are on course to take more than three-quarters of the seats. The United States Navy Secretary has resigned, citing disagreements with President Trump over the handling of the case of a Navy Seal accused of war crimes. The Likud party of Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is planning to hold leadership primaries within weeks.
