World ‘waking up to climate change’

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said the world is waking up to the threat of climate change. Closing a special UN climate summit, he thanked young people for leading the charge. The United Nations has warned that Nigeria is facing a housing crisis, with conditions among the worst in the world. On a visit to the country, the UN's housing rapporteur (Leilani Farha) said more than two thirds of Nigerians lacked basic amenities. Donald Trump has dismissed calls for the launch of impeachment proceedings against him as "a Democrat witch-hunt". Mr Trump has faced growing demands to release the transcript of a phone call in July with his Ukrainian counterpart.
