Racism in maternity care is declared a "national emergency". Report reveals Black women are more than twice as likely to die during or shortly after pregnancy than white women. The Nursing and Midwifery Council wants universities to tackle issues like racial bias in midwifery training from 2027. Senior legal expert Holly Cossutta talks to Karen Gabay.
