"Everyone needs a little help and kindness"
Make a Difference: Hampshire, Dorset and IoWAvailable for over a year
Thousands of people across the South are feeling the impact of the rising cost of living. For many, everyday essentials like soap, toothpaste, and personal care products are now unaffordable. Throughout January BBC Radio Solent is helping collect donated toiletries and cleaning items so local community schemes can share them with anyone who needs a little extra support. Lucy Ambache spoke to Jon Sloper, the CEO of the charity 'Help and Kindness' in Dorchester, who are one of the drop-off locations for your donated items. You can be part of the BBC Radio Solent Soapbox appeal by donating unopened toiletries and cleaning products at local community schemes across Hampshire, Dorset, and the Isle of Wight. There’s a full list of drop-off locations online at bbc.co.uk/Solent and click Make a Difference.
