Williams: 'We were fed up and freezing'

West Bromwich Albion

Available for over a year

Albion legend Graham Williams recalls when the players went on strike in December 1963. The former defender, who went on to captain the Baggies to FA Cup success, was one of several players who walked out of the club's Spring Road training ground because their manager, Jimmy Hagan refused to let them wear tracksuit bottoms during freezing cold temperatures. The strike made national headlines at the time. Graham spoke to BBC Radio WM's Chris Blakemore. Picture credit: Mirrorpix
